Open House Classbook Wall Assignment
Open House is a time for us to showcase all your learning, and wonderful talents. Thus far, I think our Classbook Wall has been a great representation of our daily learning and I, among many others, love to read all the interesting things you post.
Thus, for Open House, we want to make it the best Classbook Wall we possibly can. This Open House edition of classbook wall will serve two purposes
1) It will show the outside world what kinds of things you are learning
2) (and perhaps more importantly) since we're already half-way through the year, I want to see what you've learned and are taking away from my classes and how you're processing all this information. In a way, it's a way for me to see what's going on in your mind and how your own unique perspectives on these various concepts.
For this Open House edition, you MUST:
1) Pick either your best post thus far, or do a new one. If you are picking your best one from before, you MUST revise, edit it and make it better.
2) Should be something meaningful, perhaps as it relates to one of the more prominent topics in our class (nothing silly!).
3) HAVE A THOUGHTFUL REFLECTION OF AT LEAST 7-10 SENTENCES. This reflection should be a well written paragraph, that has a strong topic sentence, supporting details, transition words, etc. and keeps in mind word choice, punctuation etc. Your reflection should explain:
5) Any pictures should preferably be in color
6) Include your profile picture of you in your SJE uniform
This classbook wall update will be worth AT LEAST 25 points. So make it count.

"Classbook" Wall--Weekly Bulletin Board Assignment
Throughout the year, we will have a bulletin board dedicated to a "Classbook" Wall. Similar to a Facebook "wall," this space should be used to be a reflection of yourself, particularly, a reflection of your learning throughout the year.
Every week you will be responsible for "updating" your Classbook wall space with something new to reflect what you are learning in class. You can update your "wall" with anything as long as it is PERTINENT and RELEVANT to what we are discussing in class, and is appropriate for school (keeping in line with our Catholic principles and with school rules). The type of things you can update your wall with could include:
In an effort to keep the updating process orderly, you will sign-up to update your wall on a specific day of the week, each week. That means, whatever day you choose, you will be responsible for updating your wall on that day, each week. I will check the "Classbook" wall everyday to mark off those students who updated their wall.
Each wall update will be worth 5 points/week. I will be looking to see that you update your wall with material that is relevant to what we're learning in class; the quality of what you're posting; AND your 5 sentence description (2 points will be deducted if no sentence description is included).
